TENCEL Fabric – The New Age Fiber

TENCEL® is a fiber made from cellulose found in wood. It’s harvested from all-natural materials and converted into fabric using a sophisticated nanotechnology process.

Consumer Benefits

Breathable and more absorbent than cotton

TENCEL® branded lyocell fibers deal with moisture like no others. The fibers absorb moisture completely and naturally and then release it to the outside. Compared to cotton, TENCEL® fibers absorb the moisture in a controlled and regular manner. With TENCEL® fibers a 50 % improvement in moisture management was measured.

Skin friendly – Softer than silk

Since the textile has a smooth surface, the softness is appreciable and prevents irritations to the skin. Thus, TENCEL® fibers promote an optimal skin feeling thanks to the smooth fiber surface. Rough fiber surfaces can cause skin irritations.

Cooler than linen

Hygienic – Hypoallergenic

Bacteria do not stand a chance with TENCEL® branded lyocell fibers. The perfect moisture management of these cellulosic fibers are responsible for the reduced bacteria growth – up to 2000 times less than synthetic fibres.

Environmentally friendly

TENCEL® is a new age fiber of botanic origin with extreme ecofriendly production.

It’s produced on a “closed-loop system,” in which “99% of the chemicals and solvents used in the process to break down the wood pulp are recovered and recycled with minimal waste and very low emissions. The process received the European Award for the Environment from the EU.

TENCEL® – The perfect fabric for mattresses

Although more expensive than Egyptian cotton, La La Land Beds and Mattresses use TENCEL® to upholster most of our premium mattresses.
